Chateau Boutisse
In 1783, Pierre de Belleyme, engineer geographer of the king, registered already Boutisse on his famous chart of Guyenne. The chart of Guyenne was decided, at the XVIIIe century, by the intendant Charles Boutin who wished to equip his province with a chart more detailed and precise that that Cassini for the whole of France carried out. Pierre de Belleyme (1747-1819) was charged, since 1776, of the engraving of the boards (including three unfinished) and of their publication until 1819. Claire, easy to read by her great scale (1/43 200e), this chart is invaluable for the study of the administrative units, of terrestrial and river circulation, the vegetation and the cultures such as the vine, of industries (forging mills, mills, paper mills). It is also very useful to find names of old localities. In 1996, Gerard and Xavier Milhade decide to buy this property to make evolve/move the quality of a field which they regard as exceptional. Xavier Milhade becomes owner of the whole of the Castle Header January 2005 supported by his son Marc, engineer, who continues the made effort of modernization and optimum qualitative research.
